CarPC thoughts

Hey everyone, and welcome to my first post!

I was reading over MitchellO’s CarPC thread on AMC tonight for about the fifth time this week, and I really think that I would love to have something like that, he has done a really good job of it, and from what I can tell, it works fine and is very user-friendly with the 7″ Touch Screen mounted in his dash, he had to do some work on his dash-pieces, that, I’d have to learn how to do, but the rest doesn’t even sound that hard, like.. Putting together parts for a computer, hooking it all up to an amp, the battery, and all of that.

Nothing set in stone yet but I’m definately considering it, especially when I get money!

Just something simple to start off, with just the basics, then keep building on it, mostly with USB dongles like GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth etc.

First off I’ll have to get an amp, probably just something simple to power my 6×9′s in the back, and probably get some new 6″s in the front. All this takes money of course, which I don’t have much of working at Bilo!

Anyway, that’s just my idea’s so far, don’t expect any posts coming up about it anytime soon, but hopefully we’ll be seeing something eventually. I’ll keep you posted.

Oh, and if Mitch is reading, I envy your work, you’ve done a great job!
